Discover Holistic Horsemanship Training on the Trails through Lessons, Trail Rides, or Clinics

What is Holistic Horsemanship?

At Bluebell’s Horsemanship, we embrace the art of Holistic Horsemanship, a transformative approach that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit of both horse and rider. This natural discipline enhances not only your horsemanship skills but also enriches your life, creating a profound connection between you and your equine partner.

Basics of Holistic Horsemanship:
Mutual Respect & Trust: Learn how to cultivate a relationship based on compassion, moving beyond dominance to foster understanding.

Spiritual Connection: Discover how horses serve as spiritual partners, guiding us to self-discovery and emotional growth.

Holistic Care: Gain confidence in your instincts, becoming hands-on in your horse’s care and training for a stronger bond.

Holistic Horsemanship emphasizes the importance of empathy, patience, and overcoming fears in caregiving, ground-work, and riding.

Learning Holistic Horsemanship will train you to connect with your horse in new and fulfilling ways.

Join us on this incredible, uplifting journey into nature with your horse at Bluebell's Horsemanship.

Together, let’s embark on a path of transformation through vulnerability, presence, and the beauty of holistic horsemanship.

Red Milestone

This is the part of the trail where you feel like you are ready to take on the hardest obstacles using all the skills you have learned up to this point.  You have worked hard to get to this milestone, and you will be rewarded for it by the beauty that awaits you on the red trails.

Orange Milestone

This is the part of the trail where you take all of the things you have learned and when you feel like you and your horse are ready you use them to navigate through more challenging obstacles on the orange trails.

Grounding Milestone

This is the resting and reflecting part of the trail where you will ground your spirit with nature and with your horse's spirit. Here you will be still and take in the sights and sounds of nature and your horse grazing and allow yourself and your horse to meditate on what you have learned and be grateful for it while also learning about nature and your environment. We may even do some more breathing exercises and stretching to release tension. These are done at the obstacles on the yellow trail, in grazing meadows, and at the end of your ride.

Yellow  Milestone

This is the part of the trail where you begin to do obstacles and learn to be more aware of your body, your softness, your leadership, your communication with your horse, and your responsibility to your horse as well as your horse's responsilbilty to you.

Blue  Milestone

This is the part of the trail where you will learn to be aware of your mind and your thoughts and how they affect your horse. You will do breathing exercises and become more mindful of your energy.
